Reid also served as a member of the MISD Bond Task Force in 2021 and acted as the MISD Bond 2022 PAC Chairperson. The inaugural event in 2017 set into motion the annual “Get Back to Work Day”, an impactful community initiative to help local schools, hosted by the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. Serving as the Executive Director of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, she was able to quickly connect district needs with local volunteers. Members of the Patriot Guard Riders, Patriot Riders of America and Rolling Thunder will flank the escort along with law enforcement from Maine to ensure safe transport for all participants throughout the week.In 2017, after a summer of extensive renovations across the district, Reid organized a team of community volunteers to help teachers get classrooms ready for the first day of school. There will be limited access to the ceremony itself inside the school, however Montgomery Township residents can be a part of the day by welcoming the convoy as it arrives. There will be a brief ceremony when the convoy makes a stop at Montgomery Upper Middle School around 4 PM.

The convoy is scheduled to arrive in Arlington on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, December 17, where it will be met by thousands of volunteers who will place a wreath for the individuals who served to protect the freedoms of our country, ensuring no one is forgotten. WAA will begin its trip to Arlington National Cemetery in Washington County, Maine on December 10, and will travel down the east coast. The wreaths’ journey to Arlington has become a tradition in itself, allowing locals along the route to share in the emotional and educational experience as the WAA convoy passes through towns. With the help of thousands of volunteers, WAA works to fulfill its mission of remembering, honoring and teaching through the annual laying of wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. As part of its journey to Washington D.C., the national Wreaths Across America (WAA) convoy will again be in Montgomery Township on Wednesday, December 14 and make a scheduled stop at Montgomery Upper Middle School.
